About
FlexFarming
Our Journey
We embarked on the FlexFarming journey in 2019, after pain points were brought to the forefront by AgriSGJ’s key customers. Our goals were clear: improve sustainability, boost local production in preparation for Brexit, and aim for net zero industry wide. It quickly became evident that Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) had huge potential, but high CapEx and OpEx costs made financial viability our key challenge. To overcome this hurdle, we joined forces with AgriSGJ and Brits Energy. Supported by Innovate UK through the Sustainable Innovation Fund, we are on track to build the first net zero strawberry production facility in the UK.
Our Mission
Our mission might have started with the humble strawberry, but our ambitions grow far beyond this. We aim to roll out our innovative fresh food production solutions market-wide. By developing a system that can guarantee sustainability and availability, we can produce highly nutritious and fresh produce locally, eliminating the challenges that once stood in our way.
